What we do
Whether it's a single driveway or a full exterior clean, you'll deal with James from quote to clean-up.
A full exterior wash that lifts dirt, salt and mould off weatherboards, brick and plaster.
Low-pressure chemical wash, safe for painted surfaces, roofs and delicate cladding.
High-pressure cleaning for concrete, pavers and stubborn ground-in grime.
Bring concrete, paver and exposed-aggregate driveways back, moss, oil, tyre marks gone.
Moss, lichen and gutter sludge cleared, stretches roof life, keeps leaks away.
Bring grey, mossy timber back to its natural colour, ready for re-staining or oiling.
Storefronts, body corp buildings, body corps, car parks and warehouses, quoted per site.
James and the van, both turn up to every job.
About
I started Clear Water Blasting in 2001, after a couple of years noticing how quickly Wellington's weather turns a clean house grotty. Twenty-five years and a few thousand driveways later, I still turn up to every job myself, take before and after photos, and quote within 24 hours.
No call centre, no subcontractors, no surprises, just me (and my son, on bigger jobs) showing up when I said I would, doing the work properly, and leaving the property looking the way you hoped it would.

Fantastic service and friendly to boot! Did everything he said he would with a smile and noticed other items that needed blasting and took them as well. Can't rate highly enough, good comms 10/10 would ask James again!
James did an outstanding job at our property. I could not have been happier with the outcome and I was completely blown away by the results. He is highly professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and has been a delight to deal with.
James's attention to detail and work ethic are what we need more of in this world, not to mention his sense of humour. His professionalism makes any home project stress-free, on time, working within the scheduled time frame, and providing amazing results.
FAQ
Most Wellington homes benefit from a soft wash every 12–18 months. Coastal suburbs and south-facing properties pick up moss and salt faster, those tend to need a clean every 12 months. Northern, sheltered properties can stretch to 18–24.
On painted weatherboard, brick or plaster I use a low-pressure soft wash with biodegradable chemistry rather than blasting. High pressure is reserved for concrete, pavers and similar hard surfaces. The right method for the right surface, every time.
Soft washing runs water at around 200–500 PSI with a chemical wash that lifts dirt, mould and lichen, safe for painted surfaces, roofing, weatherboard. Water blasting runs 2,500+ PSI and is for concrete, paths, driveways and similar tough surfaces. I use whichever the job calls for.
Not at all. As long as I have access to a water tap and the property, I can quote, work and tidy up without you needing to be there. I send before-and-after photos when I'm done, and follow up by text or email.
The chemicals I use are biodegradable and safe around gardens and pets when applied correctly. I rinse plants down before and after, and keep pets inside during the wash. If you've got anything specifically vulnerable, koi pond, prized vegetable patch, flag it on the quote form.
Wellington being Wellington, it happens. Light drizzle is fine for most work, chemistry actually rinses better in damp conditions. Heavy rain we'll reschedule. I'll let you know the night before if it looks marginal.
